Retail Media Planner
DIGITS provides expert digital vendor services for brands into omnichannel retailers, with Target being our flagship. These services include digital coupons, promotion planning, paid search, Roundel Media, 3P digital media and digital shelf. We operate within food, essentials, beauty, home, baby and other categories, with clients who are the biggest brands in retail.
Role: You will take the lead with clients (both new and established brands) to build and execute their Retail Media plans at Target and other omnichannel retailers. Success will be measured by growing partner brands sales volume via modern retail media tools.
Media Planning & Strategy
Develop media plans that use DIGITS Target Flywheel – RMS paid search, Roundel display, Target Circle/promo and 3P offsite
Manage relationships with brand sales teams to understand business goals and plans; effectively communicate best methods for media and ways to succeed.
Stay current with emerging trends and platform changes in the retail media landscape, particularly within Target’s offerings, to ensure the brand maintains a competitive edge.
Campaign Management & Execution
Oversee the execution and management of all retail media campaigns, ensuring flawless setup, tracking, and optimization.
Actively monitor performance data and execute proactive, real-time adjustments to creative, targeting, and bidding strategies to maximize performance
Reporting & Analysis
Generate detailed performance reports and synthesize data into clear insights
Work alongside DIGITS reporting team to build automation and best methods
Present campaign results, learnings, and future recommendations to brand teams
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in digital media planning, Target merchandising, or agency media buying for media within omnichannel retailers
- Target Expertise: Must have 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience planning, buying, and managing campaigns specifically within the Target Roundel retail media network.
- Channel Proficiency: Proven knowledge of various retail media channels, including retail search, Roundel display advertising, social and offsite media activation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with experience in budget tracking, forecasting, and deriving actionable insights from large data sets (Excel/Google Sheets proficiency required).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex media strategies to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other major retailer media networks (e.g., Walmart Connect, Amazon Ads).
- Proficiency with ad-serving platforms, attribution models, and syndicated tools.
Compensation & Terms:
- $65,000 – $75,000 (Based on experience and location)
- Remote work
- Minneapolis-St. Paul location preferred with limited team and client in person meetings
- Flexible hours
